WET, WET WEEKEND!

OMG. Yes, it was raining the entire three days at the Manchester Arts and Crafts Festival at Hildene Meadows. I think I remember one sunny moment on Friday, but Saturday seemed like a solid downpour and Sunday was just a light, misty sprinkle all day long. Hasn't VT experience enough rain? The organizers and vendors persevered and attendance was about half of previous Fall Hildene festivals- but, I thought that was pretty amazing with all the rain.

We seemed to gather a several new fans- there were visitors from all over the Eastern US. A lot from Great Barrington and other MA locations, several from NY, CT and NJ. They were out to see the leaves but the leaves were not their usual glorious color. The roads were in pretty good shape given that several had just barely reopened. There is still a lot of debris, mud and rocks on the shoulder and in the front yards of many houses.

Now, this weekend looks much sunnier and we will be closer to home. We will be vending at the Warner Fall foliage Festival and I will post on FB our van location when we get it. Hopefully, the sun and the leaves will be shining!
